About Us
Kingdom Kids Preschool & Daycare (KKPD) – Established October 2023, we are an independent, co-educational Early Learning Centre for children aged 6 months to 6 years. Conveniently located at 8 New Scotland Road, Pelham (beside the Mini Supermarket and close to Pietermaritzburg Girls High, Maritzburg Christian College, and Maritzburg Boys College), we offer a warm, safe, and stimulating environment. Our facilities include semi-formal classrooms, a mini library and puzzle room, LED screen learning support, a sickbay with a fully equipped First-Aid kit, and age-appropriate toilets and washbasins. Toys and resources are carefully selected to be safe, engaging, and developmentally stimulating, while outdoor play areas encourage active exploration. We prioritise equipping each child with skills and confidence for the future world - one child at a time. Learning at KKPD is competency-based, nurturing curiosity, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth at each child’s pace, rather than pushing output-driven outcomes. For safety, our premises have a secure, locked-gate access system. We operate Monday to Friday, 06h45–17h15.

At Kingdom Kids Preschool & Daycare (KKPD), we meet all requirements set by the Department of Social Development and the Department of Health, ensuring a safe and compliant learning environment.

Our medium of instruction is English, and we follow a rich early learning curriculum built on the Waldorf philosophy—an approach that nurtures the heart, will, and mind, treating education as an art that speaks to each child’s experience. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s principles, Waldorf education addresses the unique needs of the growing child. We also incorporate the Montessori method, encouraging sensory exploration and learning through play. Our structured daily routine, guided by engaging themes, prepares children for Grade 1 and beyond.
